At Shine for Hope Developers (NPO 239-830 / PBO 930068966), parental involvement is not an activity — it’s a movement. We believe that when parents are empowered to actively support their children’s learning, classrooms transform, and communities thrive.
Based in Westonaria, Gauteng, our work strengthens the bridge between home and school through the Parental Engagement Programme, which equips families with tools, confidence, and understanding to nurture literacy and numeracy at home. By partnering with local schools, teachers, and libraries, we foster a culture where parents become champions of their children’s education.
Our initiatives — including the Funda Ukwazi Literacy & Numeracy Programme, Academic Support, and Teacher Development workshops — are designed to ensure that no learner is left behind due to lack of support at home. With every workshop, reading club, and parent session, we’re building a future where parents and schools learn, grow, and shine together.
